Looking Back on 2021

2021 has come to a close. And you know what that means…it’s reminiscing time!

Getting married was the undisputed highlight of our year, but there are so many other things to celebrate! We launched the Kinnfolk website and created the first round of Kinnfolk merch. We went international via the emerging artist showcase with the Goderich Celtic Roots Festival and College and a feature in Irish Music Magazine. And we proudly helped 3rd Street Coffeehouse reach its goal of $20,000 (i.e. 100,000 meals) raised for Feeding Southwest Virginia!

Way back at the beginning of the year, we made a post about feeling like we were in a rut. The winter is always long, but the 2021 winter meant no one could gather together safely indoors, which meant no live performances for us. One of the simplest joys of 2021 was the return of warmer days and getting to reuniting with friends at the Roanoke session and the audiences at live shows.

We’re so thankful for the community we’ve built around Kinnfolk, both on stage and online. Thank you all for sticking with us on this journey. Here’s to the new year ahead! link

And speaking of the new year...we're hard at work on our second studio album. Sign up for our email list and follow us across social media for updates like track lists, release date announcements, video and art reveals, and other behind-the-scenes goodies!

Athbhliain faoi shéan is faoi mhaise duit!
